Somewhere Between the Spaces
A girl sits, her face as blank as an unpainted canvas,
Her forearms with words written in scars,
“Ugly”, “Worthless”, and finally,
“Pain”.
Because somewhere between the spaces
Of broken times of the cold winter nights
And the days meant to be filled with
Glee…
She was taught, somewhere, somehow,
To completely despise the girl
She was growing to become,
And more so the one she already
Was.
Though she felt the pain of
Sword fights and battles
Bashing on the sides of her mind,
She was sure to keep herself looking perfect,
So perhaps someone could love the
Ugliness, which she had written on her
